hi kaet forum
this is a discussion about recent strange and delicious meals you have had. maybe we will learn something new here. maybe one day we will dine in real life together.
i roasted a cabbage recently which is something i think more people should be doing. i put it exposed in a very hot oven so it would get all charred on the outside, which takes abt 20 minutes, then covered it so the inside would steam. i marinated the cabbage in liquid made of kimchi juice, rice vinegar and olive oil plus gochugaru. then DUKKAH- which is like an egyptian breadcrumb- adjacent thing made from breadcrumbs and toasted nuts. i think traditionally the recipe calls for sesame seeds and walnuts but i only had pecans and pine nuts, they still worked very well. finally i drizzled some tahini over it- the first time i had a meal similar was actually in a restaraunt where they put the cabbage on TOP of the tahini but thats sort of too much for me. best way to ensure you eat lots of strange and delicious meals is to copy/paste from restaurants imo!
